We prepare the ESG disclosures UK companies now owe — climate-related financial disclosure, SECR and UK SRS — then tag and validate them for filing. From your bills and records, or from the report you already have.
Climate disclosure rules, FCA requirements and governance codes all apply. Here is what each one asks for, and what we do about it.
Two ways in, one outcome: a written, tagged, validated and assurance-ready disclosure.
ESG reporting is publishing information about a company’s environmental, social and governance performance — such as energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, workforce data and board oversight — usually in the annual report. In the UK there is no single ESG law; climate disclosure (CFD), SECR, FCA listing rules, UK SRS and SDR apply depending on a company’s size, listing and sector.
UK companies and LLPs with more than 500 employees must report under the Climate-related Financial Disclosure regulations if they are traded, banking or insurance companies, AIM companies, or have turnover above £500 million. Listed companies also make TCFD-aligned disclosures under the FCA listing rules on a comply-or-explain basis.
Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting applies to quoted companies and to large unquoted companies and LLPs. They report energy use, the related greenhouse gas emissions, an intensity ratio, the methodology used and energy-efficiency actions in the directors’ report. Large unquoted companies and LLPs using 40,000 kWh or less in the UK are exempt.
Yes. Under Path A we prepare the full report from the records you already hold — utility bills, travel, fuel and fleet records, HR and payroll data and governance papers. We scope it, calculate the figures, write the report, tag it in iXBRL where required and validate it. Your team reviews and signs off.
Yes. Under Path B we review your existing report in Word or PDF, map it to the taxonomy, tag it in iXBRL, validate it and deliver a filing-ready file, with revisions until you approve.
FinTags AI performs the iXBRL tagging and speeds up data processing. Every file is then checked by an XBRL specialist in a two-layer quality review before it reaches you, so the result is AI-tagged and human-verified.
A materiality file, a KPI pack with every figure, unit and method, the written ESG report or sustainability statement, a tagged iXBRL file, a validation report, an audit trail for your auditor or assurance provider, and a short board pack.
We quote after a short scoping call. The price depends on which rules apply, the number of entities and sites, how much data you already have, whether you need tagging and assurance support, and your deadline.
